Easy Banana Bread recipe

Easy Banana Bread recipe is nothing more than a version of Banana Muffin. Like the Muffin, the Banana Bread start with a thick sweet batter that is full of mashed bananas, vanilla and ground cinnamon and pecans. Banana Bread is so easy to make. Just mix the dry ingredients together in one bowl, and the wet ingredients in another bowl. Combine the two, and you are done! When you take out the banana Bread from the oven, their golden brown crusts are delightfully crisp, and although their crusts are crispy, inside is moist and soft.

For this recipe you’ll need the bananas to be very ripe and their skin with some dark brown spots. To speed up the banana’s ripening process, place the bananas in a plastic bag, either whole or mashed, and add one teaspoon of lemon juice for each banana and freeze in an airtight container or plastic bag. A natural way is to let the bananas sit at room temperature for a couple of days until they get soft with dark brown spots on them.

How to make The Banana Bread

  1. First preheat oven oven to 350 degrees temperature ( 180 degrees Celsius ) and Place the oven rack to middle position.
  2. Butter (or with non stick vegetable spray) the bottom and the sides of a 9 x 5 x 3 inch ( 23 x 13 x 8 cm) Loaf Pan. Line the bottom of the pan With a piece of parchment paper .
  3. In a large bowl  whisk together all the dry ingredients, the flour, sugar, baking  powder, baking soda, salt and ground cinnamon . And then stir in the chopped nuts ( pecans or walnuts ).
  4. In a medium size  bowl combine the wet ingredients, the mashed bananas, beaten eggs, melted unsalted butter , and vanilla extract.  With a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, lightly  fold the wet ingredients ( Banana Mixture) into the dry ingredients just until combined and the batter is thick and chunky . Don’t over mix the batter otherwise your Easy banana bread will be tough. 
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan , smoothing the top with the back of the spoon.
  6. Bake the Bread until the top is golden brown color and a  toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean, about 60 to 70 minutes. 
  7. Place on a wire rack to cool and then remove the bread from the pan. 
  8. Serve this delicious Easy banana bread warm or at room room temperature. You definitely can freeze the Bread.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cups ½ ( 375 grams) Mashed bananas ( about 3 Large ripe bananas)
  • 2 large (100 grams) eggs, lightly beaten
  • ½ cup ( 113 grams) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp ( 4 grams) pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups ( 225 grams) All-purpose Flour
  • ¾ cup ( 150 grams) granulated White Sugar
  • 1 tsp ( 4 grams) Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp (1 gram) Baking soda
  • ¼ tsp ( 1 gram) Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup ( 120 grams) Walnuts or Pecans , coarsely chopped

Instructions
 

  • First preheat oven to 350 degrees temperature ( 180 degrees C) and place the oven rack to Middle position. Butter the bottom and sides of a 9 x 5 x 3 inch ( 23 x 13 x 8 cm) Loaf pan. (You can also use a non stick vegetable spray to grease the loaf pan). Line the bottom of the pan with a parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl whisk together the dry ingredients, the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Stir in the chopped nuts. 
  • In a medium-sized bowl combine the wet ingredients, mashed bananas, beaten eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. With a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, lightly fold the wet ingredients (banana mixture) into the dry ingredients just until combined and the batter is thick and chunky. (The important thing is not to over mix the batter. You do not want it smooth. Over mixing the batter will tough the bread.) 
  • Pour the batter into prepared pan, smoothing the top with the back of a spoon. Bake until bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 60 to 70 minutes. 
  • Place on a wire rack to cool and then remove the bread from the pan. Serve it warm or at room temperature. This bread can be frozen.
