Easy Homemade pie crust is a flaky, tender crust with a rich, buttery flavor. It is so simple to make.
Prep Time 12 minutes
Servings: 2 pies circle
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American, French

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour Plus more to dust " Use a scale to measure"
  • 1/2 Tbsp Granulated sugar
  • tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 lb COLD Unsalted Butter ( 2 Sticks ) diced into small pieces
  • 6 Tbsp Ice water (6 to 7 Tbsp)

Equipment

  • Food processor

Method

  1. Measure flour correctly. I recommend use a scale to it be precisely.
  2. In a food processor, pulse together flour, sugar and salt.
  3. Next add COLD DICED BUTTER and pulse until you have a coarse crumbs and some pea-sized pieces is formed.

  4. Add 6 Tbsp ICE-WATER and pulse just until moist clumps/ small balls of dough is formed. "Do not add too much water or it will be sticky and difficult to roll"
  5. Pinch a piece of dough between your fingers and if it sticks together, it’s done. If not add more ice water 1 tsp at a time.
  6. Transfer dough to a clean work surface, and gather together into a ball. Don’t need to knead the dough – it should not be smooth.

  7. Divide dough in half and flatten into 2 disks. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 1 hour before using.
